How To Choose A Gun Safe.

Under Irish law, firearms must be stored securely to prevent unauthorised access, and gardaí will check storage as part of a licence application. The right safe depends on how many guns you own, whether you store ammunition separately, and whether you want fire protection on top of theft protection.

  • Capacity - choose a cabinet sized for your current and planned firearms (1-14 gun models available)
  • Locking - key, electronic or dual-lock, all with pry-resistant steel doors
  • Fire rating - from basic security to 30/60/120-minute fire protection for documents and ammunition
  • Fixing - bolt it to a solid wall or floor; we install and certify the fitting

What size safe do I need?

Count the firearms you own plus any you plan to add, and whether scopes are attached (they take more room). 1-3 gun cabinets suit most licence holders; 5-14 gun vaults suit collectors and clubs.

Do you install gun safes?

Yes - we bolt safes to a solid wall or floor and can supply a fitting certificate, which gardaí often want to see during a licence inspection.

Do I need separate ammunition storage?

Many safes include a lockable internal compartment for ammunition. We can also supply a separate ammo safe if you prefer to keep them apart.

How fast can I get one?

Most safes are in stock for fast nationwide delivery - free over €300. Installation can usually be booked the same week.
